- Start the broth, add all of the first broth ingredients except the additional cup of water. Bring to a simmer in a sauce pot.
- Add 6 cups water and the baking soda to another pot. Bring to a rapid boil. With a slotted spoon, carefully drop eggs in the water. Cook exactly 6 minutes for soft boiled. 10 minutes for hard boiled. When done, immediately remove from heat and run under cold water. place ice cubes in water.
